A travelling exhibition that unites art, social inclusion, and sustainability by transforming umbrellas into artistic pieces.

The travelling exhibition “Water and the Sea to Me” (“A Água e o Mar para Mim”) is an art, social inclusion, and sustainability initiative that transforms umbrellas into unique works of art to raise awareness about the preservation of water resources and the oceans.

Promoted by Águas do Algarve, the exhibition uses recycled materials to draw attention to water scarcity, ocean pollution, and climate change. Each artwork was collaboratively created by children, seniors, and citizens with disabilities from various non-profit social care institutions (IPSS) in the region.

Recently awarded 1st Prize for Social and Environmental Responsibility at the Essência do Ambiente Awards, this project is an inspiring community manifesto for all ages.
