Semi-guided visits

The semi-guided visits were created with the aim of interpreting the exhibitions in the museum centres located in the town of Alcoutim and relating them to the history of the town. These visits, aimed at families or groups, are an opportunity to discover the exhibition centres of the Municipal Museum and the town of Alcoutim, its history, people and traditions and are semi-guided following prior registration at the reception of Alcoutim Castle.

Guided Tours

The main aim of the guided tours is to interpret the exhibitions of the museum centres of Alcoutim Municipal Museum and relate them to the history of the municipality and perhaps the wider region. During the initial phase, these tours are aimed at all municipal residents who are interested; they are carried out in association with the IPSS (private social solidarity institutions) and the education institutions in the municipality, are scheduled in advance, and are accompanied by staff from the Municipal Museum.

Alcoutim Municipal Museum offers guided tours for school groups and others, whose programmes are designed in conjunction with the institution requesting the visit.

The guided tours and semi-guided visits are subject to reservation in advance and confirmation, and are held in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish, depending on the group.
