Educational Resource Kit

The timeless games educational resource kit presents replicas of the medieval Islamic games found in archaeological digs in the Old Castle of Alcoutim. The aim is to present this valuable collection to children, explain the rules to them, and allow them to play.

Reservations must be made in advance and are subject to confirmation.

Target group: pupils in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles.

Time of the year: can be scheduled at any time in the school year.

 

Publicity stand

The publicity stand of the Old Castle of Alcoutim’s collection of games comprises a 4 x 3 metre tent with illustrations of the theme, a summary of current knowledge about the Old Castle, tables, poufs and replicas of the games.

The aim is to present the Old Castle of Alcoutim and its collection of games to a range of audiences, as well as to familiarise people with the rules and teach them to play the games themselves.

Reservations must be made in advance and are subject to confirmation.

Target group: General public; medieval fairs; cultural gatherings with a medieval theme, etc.

Time of the year: schedule at any time of the year by agreement and subject to the availability of the municipality’s technical resources.
