On September 23rd and 24th, Alcoutim and Sanlúcar de Guadiana will host the International Congress on Border Culture and Heritage, organized by the Pablo de Olavide University, in Seville, and with the support of the Municipality of Alcoutim, the Ayuntamiento de Sanlúcar de Guadiana and the Board of Andalusia.
You can consult information about the congress here, and the communications program will be released at the end of June.
From May 4th to 11th, the River Museum is closed to the public.

From April 26th to 29th, the Blacksmith’s House is closed to the public.

From April 20th to 29th, the Casa dos Condes, in Alcoutim, which houses the Municipal Library and the Temporary Exhibition Room of the Municipal Museum, is closed to the public.

During the Easter period, the opening to the public of the museums of the Alcoutim Municipal Museum was changed:
- River Museum, in Guerreiros do Rio, is closed to the public on April 15th and 17th;
- Archeology Museum, Castelo da Vila, in Alcoutim, is closed to the public on April 14th;
- Religious Art Museum, in Alcoutim, is closed to the public on April 15th, 16th and 17th;
- Dr. João Dias Museum, in Alcoutim, is closed to the public on April 15th and 17th and in the afternoon of April 16th;
- Blacksmith’s House, in Pereiro, is closed to the public on April 15th, 16th and 17th;
- Temporary Exhibition Room, Casa dos Condes, in Alcoutim, is closed to the public on April 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th;.

From the 11th of April, Casa dos Condes, in Alcoutim, which houses the Municipal Library and the Temporary Exhibition Room of the Municipal Museum, changes its opening hours to the public:
- From Monday to Friday, except holidays, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

From March 28th to April 10th, there is a change in the opening hours of the Alcoutim Municipal Museum:
- River Museum, in Guerreiros do Rio, is closed to the public on the mornings of March 28th and 30th and April 4th and 6th, and on April 2nd and 9th;
- Archeology Museum, Castelo da Vila, in Alcoutim, is closed to the public on the mornings of March 28th and 30th and April 4th and 6th;

- Dr. João Dias Museum, in Alcoutim, is closed to the public on the mornings of March 28th and April 4th and 6th, and on March 29th, 30th and 31st and on April 1st, 2nd and 9th;
- Blacksmith’s House, in Pereiro, is closed to the public on the mornings of March 28th and 30th and April 4th and 6th;
- Temporary Exhibition Room, Casa dos Condes, in Alcoutim, is closed to the public from 4 pm to 6 pm on March 28th and 30th and April 4th and 6th.

On March 28th and 30th and April 4th and 6th, Alcoutim hosts the formation action “Saber Comunicar e Atender o Cliente de Forma Eficiente”, which will be attended by the Municipal Museum team.
This formation action is part of the “Formação + Próxima” project of the Digital Academy of Portugal Tourism, providing public and private institutions with free formation actions in different areas, in the participating municipalities, to provide professionals with specialized training “without leaving their municipality”.
